One of the many pearls found along Lake Maggiore.
Characteristic and typical centre nearly still intact with antique houses pinned one after the other, with small alleys, bottlenecks and arcades.
On the front of house there are fresco paintings, painted in 1970 in occasion of the “ School of fresco painting”.
Worth of attention are: the parish church of Saint Carlo refurbished in 2002, where in the left lateral chapel are conserved the bones of Saint Cosimo a martyr.
Also it’s found “Via Crucis” formed by canvasses of remarkable value and other antique canvasses; the parish autonomous church of Santa Maria Maddalena; the antique port of the fishermen; the Oratorio of Santa Maria degli Angeli at Fosano (historical monument from 1928) with remarkable fresco paintings by Antonio da Tradate of the year 400.
