Tenero
Tenero is a small town situated at the beginning of lake Maggiore (or Verbano). The river Verzasca flows in this town. In summer it reaches the total of about 13.000 inhabitants, 10.000 are tourist, the majority of which are staying in the biggest camping compound of Switzerland. Other than for tourism, Tenero is known for the CST (Tenero sport centre, national infrastructure). The German football National team trained there, in June 2008, for the European football championship.
