The alluvial landscape of the “Bolle di Magadino”, reagarded of International importance by the Swiss academy of science. First important lake town, situated at the beginning of the Gambarogno’s Riviera. The parish church of Saint Carlo which stands out over the houses, it announces like a sentry, its greatness and particularity. Enchanting sightseeing spots, over the lake and over the gulf of Locarno. Worth of attention are the stretch of the Bolle, its ornithological importance has crossed all nation borders, the International festival of organist music; the parish church of Saint Carlo with canvasses and paintings of famous artists. The decorated choir with a big fresco painting (Crocifissione) by Richard Seewald; from the Eighteen century a posh villa built by the architect Giacomo Moraglia for the family Ghisler in 1843, an example of a villa from Milan of late neo-classical style; the church situated in the hamlet of Quartino dedicated to Saint Nicola of Bari, inside it it’s found a bronze tabernacle with two angels by the sculptor Remi Rossi of Locarno, the “Via Crucis” in a coloured majolica by Coltellini and an antique painting representing the Assumption.
